My name is Cassie Wallender. I started working professionally in technology for over ten years ago, when I finally moved from playing around with ASCII-based RPGs on my favourite BBS and programming little games in QBasic to actually making money with a bit of freelance web design. Since then I’ve earned an education in Business Administration and Information Systems from Seattle Pacific University, and become experienced in hardware and software troubleshooting, executive level support, user experience, and team management. I’ve been lucky to work in a diverse variety of wonderful environments: biomedical, academic, a dot-com startup, and now one of world’s largest websites.
A sucker for nearly all things nerdy, I’m interested in automating as much of my life as possible through technology. Efficiency is a beautiful thing. I have a tendency to relate conversations to Star Wars. I love swing dancing, good music, playing bass guitar, hiking, canoeing, and biking. My personality type is best described as an ESTJ and I enjoy long walks on the beach, et cetera and so forth.
Feel free to drop me a line. If you want to send me random gifts (Ha!), check out my wish list.
