It was $2.19 at the pet store. I was so tempted to adopt him. Impromptu pets are rarely a good idea though. :-\ Plus, Faye would try to eat the poor little thing.

If you do get a mouse, make sure you always wash any food residue off your hands before picking it up. Otherwise, you will get bitten as it attempts to scrounge a snack off your finger. I learned this the hard way in my youth, picking up my mouse after eating a jelly doughnut. It didn't hurt much, though — but still, who wants to get bitten by a mouse?
